The Labrador Retriever, more commonly known as the Labrador Retriever or simply Labrador, is a breed of dogs that originated in the United Kingdom. It is a medium-sized dog, with a round and robust appearance, entirely sand, chocolate or dark in color. Descended from the Saint John dog, the breed was imported and then developed in the United Kingdom and Canada. The Labrador is currently one of the most common breeds in the world.

A very docile, playful and intelligent breed with a spectacular appearance, the Labrador is officially approved as a water dog and a return dog. However, his exceptional character has made him a very sought-after dog as a companion dog and working dog, including guide dogs for the blind, or drug or explosives detection dogs by law enforcement and customs.
