What to do with Egg Shells - 2016 Humbleville - Vermicomposting Eggshell Additive

Welcome back to Humbleville! We got tired of throwing out all of the empty egg shells our family generates and wanted to do something about it. We had been adding the crushed egg shells to our worm factory, but most of the egg shell fragments were still too big for the worms to properly digest. Thank you internet for some good ideas on what to do with our old egg shells! Now we process them into a course powder and the worms eat it up like there is no tomorrow. Grinding egg shells in your garbage disposal can lead to a massive clog. Why add them to the landfill when your worms can turn that, and other organic material, into the best organic fertilizer you can make at home.
