Marshall McLuhan (1960s) explaining how electric mass media, such as TV and radio, are effecting the development of modern civilization. In the 1960s, when this interview took place, the internet hadn't been invented yet. Then there's so-called "social media" which is much more controlled by elites than many anticipated. If McLuhan could've seen what instantaneous access to information, misinformation, and (worse) selectively edited information would foster.
