Success G_ds way

Here in our passage today, this is the first thing we see God telling b’nei Israel: He will go before them in the land and prepare the way before them. we need to know that God will go before us like He went before Israel and He will prepare the way ahead of us.

The second thing we see in this passage, and I think the more powerful concept, is that God has a drawn out or extended plan for our spiritual growth. We don’t become spiritually mature overnight; maturity takes a long time – but is supposed to. Many times, we get discouraged or frustrated in our spiritual walk – but God has created a long-term plan for our spiritual growth, it is a life of discipleship not a brief correspondent course. Bottom line, there are no short cuts to spiritual maturity.

These two ideas go hand in hand so that we may have a successful life following Hashem: Going before us – Long term plan.
