SONG LYRICS:
By dawn, I'm gonna' be so far away
So don't you look for me
Those who'll forgive my fall
Will learn to praise the love I feel
And time will silence all
But now I've set my spirit free
He who had loved me will return to walk your fields
From deserts wild
And he will see – that there had lived among your weeds
A flower child
And I, I want to open up my eyes
And blossom just for me
I've had my share of dreams
But all my dreams ripped at the seams
I wanted to console
But passion swelled inside of me
I've known the charm of youth
I've held a cradled storm
At moonlit skies
Indeed, I know a strange and nameless flame of warmth
Had lit my nights
And you, it's true, it's you whom I have missed
It's useless to resist
I've known a secret pain
And magic days that still persist
I will recall a glance
A touch of softness on my nape
I'll be the shade of clouds that pass upon your fields
Clothed in disguise
I bid so long – but know there lived among your weeds
A flower child

Cova Tembel Entertainment is proud to present yet another of what I think is a beautiful song. Ruhama, one of Israel’s premier singers, sings the English version to a timeless classic. A Flower Child is a soft, melodic tune with a wonderful message for young and old.
In this lyrics video, which my nephew, Nataniel, put together so well, you will also see Jenae Farnham, an expressive sign language artist who has done a wonderful job in capturing the mood and spirit of the song. Ruhama makes an appearance at the end of the video.
Please follow the hash tags #aflowerchild and #followyourheart, and please subscribe, like, share and comment – we would love to hear from you and your story.
