Support Law Enforcement Like Family

Supporting law enforcement doesn’t mean:
• Writing them a blank check.
• Covering up or justifying bad behavior.
• Rushing to judgement
• Defunding them.
• Mock, belittle or undermine the process or the individuals as a part or whole.
• Be disparaging of your part in the community aka “being a soy boy”

Supporting Law Enforcement Does mean:
• Providing them with the tools they need to be successful
• Being openminded
• Making decisions based upon the law and facts
• Doing ride-alongs
• Talk to local rank-in-file officers
• Talk to the police Administration
• Holding them accountable to the constitution, state and local laws, department policy and asking for clarification and transparency when the aforementioned don’t seem to overlap. (e.g. filming, masks, protesting etc.)
• Actually, know the aforementioned law, ordinances, codes and policies.
• Attend city council meetings
• Hold local office
• Vote in local elections
• Be vocal, ask questions, express your concerns about public policy and enforcement.
• Be RESPECTFUL, Be efficient

Involvement is key, Most LEO are great people who do the right thing. In order for us as citizens to get the best service we have to be involved. It’s like any relationship there will be give and take and things will have to be addressed.
