The Prepared Mind

Thankyou for joining my on my commute home. Before I say anything else, let me encourage you with this: The Most High God of Heaven and earth and Kink of this world loves YOU and has a plan for your life. A plan for greatness, a plan for success, a plan for eternity in His presence. The only way for this in your life is to accept His Son, Jesus Christ, whom He sent to a dying world to die for the sins of all – for your shortcomings and mine. See below for more on this.

A well-known quote by Louis Pasteur “Fortune favors the prepared mind.”, resonates on so many levels. Though I did not mention this quote in the video, it ties into this passage from The Art of War by Sun Tzu, “Prepare for what is difficult when it is easy – do what is great when it is small”. We are living through difficult times and I find great encouragement in this passage and would like to pass it on to you.

Now is the time to prepare. Preparedness is the basis to success of any kind. The reductionist term “prepper” leaves much to be desired. Do not be a prepper, be prepared. Acquiring skills, tactics and equipment is very important but more important is the acquiring of knowledge. And nothing is more important than starting and maintaining a relationship to Jesus Christ, the Son of the Most High God!

In future videos, we will take a deeper look into equipment and then when we have the necessary equipment covered, we will go into learning and developing new skills and tactics. Along the way we will cover a great deal of knowledge. We will learn from each other. Gaining knowledge reduces the dependency on equipment and will lighten the load in the field. In this world Jesus will lighten to load far more. He tells us “Come to me, all who are weary and heavily burdened, and I will give you rest.” – Matthew 11:28. Jesus goes on to bless us further, He carried our sin burden up Calvary Hill and up on the cross to offer us a light burden that only He can give.

“Rome was not built in a day”, “a journey of a thousand miles starts with one footstep”, The mightiest of oak trees started out as a small acorn. Do not be intimidated by an obstacle that appears to me greater than you, it is not. One step at a time, one small stone upon another, and you will cease to be the acorn and find that you have become the mighty oak. Do not give up. Retreat is not an option. Believe in your self by first believing and placing your trust in God, Who created you for greatness. Do not be dismayed by the world around you for God has called you out, set you apart and planted something wonderful in you. Gain ground.

***BELOW IS OF UTMOST IMPORTANCE – THE GREATEST PREP YOU CAN STORE IN YOU HOLD***

We live in a fallen world. Many ask, “How could God allow [this] to happen if He is good?”. The answer remains in the fact that we live in a world fallen. The fact is that God did not allow [this] to happen, WE did! Whatever [this] is, it was allowed by mankind. We are the fallen in need of a RISEN Savior.

There is a difference between religion and relationship. Far too often, there are those peddling religion under the guise of Christianity. For this reason, I identify as a Christ-follower. I pray daily that you would find relationship instead of religion. There are many “false Christians” that unfortunately have given Christ-followers a bad name and have turned people away from accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Despite this, please get to know Him today.

Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the second person of the Godhead: The Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The Son of God left his royal status at the right hand of The Father to live a human life. He was all God in His perfection and all human in His mortality. At birth, He was named Jesus. Jesus lived as a human who committed no sin even though He endured all of the temptations that we go through. He died a death on the cross of which the gruesomeness has never been equaled. He went through pain which we could not possibly comprehend. Jesus died on a cross and was laid in a borrowed tomb. After three days, He breathed the breath of life once more having defeated death, hell, and the grave on our behalf. Jesus ascended back to the right hand of The Father and poured out the Holy Spirit on all who would accept Him. Please accept Him today.

In these uncertain times, accepting Jesus Christ into your life is the greatest and most enduring prep that you can make. All you have to do is confess and acknowledge that you have fallen, acknowledge your belief in Him as Lord and Savior and ask Him to be just that. There is no magic phrase, there is no action that needs to take place, only that of your confession, acknowledgement, your request, and your acceptance. When you have done this, you are saved by the Most High God of Heaven and Earth and the King of the world. I welcome you as my brother or sister in Christ!
