The civil society is not about whether or not you agree with your neighbor. It is about whether or not your neighbor has a right to exist in all the ways existence happens. This includes freedom of thought.

The civil society collapses from dehumanization and otherizing of people you disagree with. CNN’s Anderson Cooper is now decrying the dehumanization of others without a hint of irony.
