Hiking to the Elf House via Chestnut Top Trail

Roughly a 9 mile round trip hike on the Chestnut Top Trail to Schoolhouse Gap will bring you to a hidden gem in the park. There is a picnic 🧺 table at the junction but it sits on private property just off the trail. The cabin owners seem used to the company as they’ve set up many photo ops in the area. We took time for lunch and made sure to pick up some extra trash we found in the area! Always remember to take out everything you take in and always respect boundaries!
