I had the pleasure of seeing Olympia City Council Candidate Candy Mercer at the 'Act of Free Speech' event today at the Washington State Capital.

A very refreshing and hopeful outlook on this upcoming election. I very much want to see more citizen servants cut from the ranks of our community who put Olympia on their agenda for what's most important to their attention and efforts. This has only been my home for 4 years... but it's been a rapid decline during that time that makes me have second thoughts of deep roots unless I start seeing Olympia achieve reasonable progress in improving the community and addressing it's issues in sane and practical ways.

It sounds like there is some real opportunities for a coalition of 'Trans-Political' citizens who want to really see Olympia improve to work together to build a city council with some REAL diversity of thought and qualifications that we desperately need.
