Chicken Chat: Baby Chick to Full Grown Rhode Island Red & Columbian Wyandotte Pullets
Here I have photos & video of Day old (or 2) Rhode Island Red Pullets, and 1 Columbian Wyandotte. Picked up at Tractor Supply and raised until Adult and now laying eggs. Follow their photo/video journey to see what they look like along the way. Currently, these pullets are around 7-8 months old. Integrating them with my slightly older pullets, was not fun. You want your new pullets to be full grown, before adding them to your flock. Full grown, is around 4 months. They should be close to the same size, if not age, of your current flock - especially if confined, like mine are - as space is precious and protected. If you pullets/hens lay fertilized eggs - and brood/raise them - likely you wouldn't have an issue - but these additions, were not related to my current birds.
