Beautiful singing peacock

The peacocks include two Asian birds (the blue or Indian peacock originally from India and Sri Lanka and the green peacock from Myanmar, Indochina and Java) and African species (the Congo peacock that originated only in the Congo Basin).

The Ph family, of the genus Pavo and Afropavo of pheasants and their allies, is known for the penetrating singing of males. Among Asian species, its extravagant feathers cover the tail with eyes, it is part of the courtship ceremony.

The term "peacock" is reserved for people. Females are called peacocks and immature offspring are sometimes called peaches.
