Freeze drying a test tray of Sungold kiwifruit. Part 1: https://youtu.be/RdQVlS-6lLI
I like kiwis, but for some reason it had been years since I'd had them. I needed a "K" food for my alphabet of freeze drying, so these were perfect. I had never had a golden kiwifruit before, but I think they are even better. I put a tray of the Sungold Kiwifruit I got from Costco in the dryer on Halloween and took them out this morning. I think they have a much better flavor than the regular ones.
The dates on the Mylar bags are the dates the batches were put into the freeze dryer (to match my freeze dry log book) not the day it was bagged.

This is part of our Freeze Drying The Alphabet from A to Z series.
