Marjorie Taylor Greene Removed From Her Committee Assignments
Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene Says Republican Party Belongs to Former President Trump
A day after the House voted to strip her of her committee assignments for embracing conspiracy theories and past comments on social media, Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) aligns herself with former President Trump and says he is not responsible for the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol and says the upcoming impeachment trial is a "scam." "Republican voters support him still. The party is his. It doesn't belong to anybody else," she says. The freshman congresswoman from Georgia also says Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) "faked her outrage with another hoax," referring to the New York Democrat's account of what happened to her on the day of the Capitol attack. And Representative Greene also denies attacking Representative Cori Bush (D-MO), saying, "In fact, it was on video that she attacked me."
