Rep. Scott Perry introduces the Empower Our Girls Act to stop female genital mutilation

On this special edition of Thought to Action, Rep. Scott Perry (R-PA) introduces the Empower Our Girls Act, which he will present to the House of Representatives on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2021.

The proposed bill will completely outlaw the female genital mutilation throughout the U.S., which is still done ritually by many states which have not rendered the practice illegal.

Rep. Perry discusses the bill and the long fight against female genital mutilation, which is still allowed in many areas of the country, with London Center for Policy Research President Lr. Col. (Ret) Tony Shaffer.
