'Start spreading the news,' . . . I'm 'longing to stray'. . . . Or not.

The death of the 'Big Apple', of 'Gotham', of 'Metropolis', of the streets that blessed us with Sinatra and Holiday, . . . Ruth and Gehrig, . . . Dimaggio and Mantle.

Streisand and Woody, . . . Kubrick and Scorsese, . . . Tito and Willie.

From 'Sugar Ray' to 'Raging Bull'. From Whitman to Stan 'the Man' Lee. And between, 'The Godfather', 'West Side Story', Broadway. . . . Heck, Spidey, the Avengers, Batman!

NYC, capital of the world, free and unfree! Or once . . . If this is not the Apocalypse, it's damn close. . . . Join your friendly neighborhood cousins, as we depart from Roe, to wax about these streets, and mourn their managed collapse, for some dubious end. Stay tuned.
