Washington: Packwood Flea Market 2014

Packwood Washington is a very small town on a little used highway going over Mount Rainier. Twice a year on Memorial day, and Labor day the town holds a Flea Market. Anybody can sign up to rent a space to sell whatever they have to sell for the 3 day weekend. You’ll find hunting gear, meat preparation supplies, Log furniture, old lumberjack tools, Garage Junk, antiques, handmade crafts, food of all kinds, and even a traveling mini carnival. This garage sale is recently become so big that you can’t actually see it all in 1 day. Packwood is pretty high up in the mountains, so remote that there is very limited cell phone service, and only 2 gas stations. The town is split in two by the highway which sees the most traffic during this event twice a year. A very enjoyable time to see small town life. If you have a chance to go there, I guarantee it will be worth your while.

If you want a great contrast to this video. I also made a video of a Flea Market in Vietnam.
Try watching the two back to back, the similarities are really interesting.
