SPLIT IT!

Going to town on a piece of wood by swinging an axe, hatchet or tomahawk can sometimes be the answer to the question "whats the fastest way to exhaust myself". When a piece of wood is too big to split with the axe, hatchet or 'hawk' your carrying, create tools to make your job easier, enter the wedge!!!

using the wedge will help conserve your edge on your tools, and is a bit safer since you aren't swinging a hunk of sharpened steel and getting exhausted because the wood is just too big for your equipment. Easy and fast to make, they also make working the wood safer and in some cases more controlled.
