What is just? What is truth? And what are the criteria of judgment, as we explore the rising tide of socialism, as distinguished from, dying ideas of liberal democracy and free enterprise. In the words of Milton Friedman, there are three things we now know. That capitalism has freed more people from poverty than ever imagined? That socialism (and its cognates, 'communism' and 'fascism') have brought little more than poverty and misery? And yet, for some stranger things, all traditional, capitalist democracies, are sliding inexorably to socialism and communism.
