Showdown was an Alberta based band in the late 1970's and early 1980's.

This was the first Showdown album, released in 1980 on the Edmonton based Damon Records label (catalogue number D-1002)

Showdown had a local Alberta hit from this album with The Rodeo Song. The rest of the tracks on this album are covers of well known country music recordings.

This album has been unavailable for decades, probably since the mid 1980's. As far as I'm aware it has never been released on CD.

The audio here is taken from an original 1980 Canadian pressing of the original Damon Records vinyl LP.
