He has a long history of deep, astronomy research. His work on the early universe, black holes, and light sails has contributed to mans' ability to think and move in a new, interstellar future.

His views are shared by many but not all. Just like the authorities who imprisoned Galileo for speaking against the established understanding of the solar system; that is that Earth orbited the Sun and not the other way around. The closed mind of the authorities of the time kept the truth of the solar system would not have been delayed. We can never allow ourselves to hold back science no matter what we think we know.
