Psalm 139: How God Sees, And Loves You

I cried when I first saw this passage of Scripture. My self-esteem was at an all-time low. I was sexually assaulted and had no one to turn to. I already had low-self esteem and lacked confidence in my image.

Reporting the crime that was committed against me, I learned about how I would be treated in a court of law. In the years before the "believe every woman" time, victims of sex crimes were attacked by the defense and was meant to break the witness down. Times were ugly and scary.

Either way, contemplating suicide, a family member called unexpectedly and started talking to me about God. After that conversation I decided to start reading the Bible.

I had a New Testament Bible with Psalms and Proverbs; I opened it to random pages and started reading. Eventually, I arrived at Psalm 139 and read. Psalm 139 changed my whole self-image.

My hope is that this video will inspire and encourage you. God sees you as someone and He uses King David to communicate that with us. You are worthy. You are someone. You are beautiful, and you are LOVED.

Psalm 139, Depression, anxiety, self-esteem, self worth, self image, rape survivor, sex assault survivor, metoo, Bible,
God loves you, Jesus loves you, you are worthy, you are beautiful, you are loved
