Sad to Say by Shoot the Moon

One of the first tunes from my old band, Shoot the Moon! Sad to Say was originally written with the help of J. P. Cappiello on bass. That was before James Balogach joined the group permanently. I remember clearly John asking me to "just play something." I had already been working on the main hook, and J. P. helped finish the arrangement right there in rehearsal. Sean wrote the lyrics later, but had a good start right away. Sad to Say was also one of the many songs that got a lot of local and regional air-play on great radio stations, and climbed the Reverbnation.com rock charts for quite a while. Rock on! Shoot the Moon was Sean McGeahan on vocals, James Balogach on bass, and John Young on drums.
