COLBERT - RIVER BIRCH

On my visit to Colbert's he talked a bit about the river birch. This is one of my favorite trees to start fires with. They are very abundant in the swamp lining the shoreline. Also they are used in surprising numbers around planned neighborhoods (subdivisions) for decorative trees.

if you are wondering who Colbert is, he is the crazy guys the used to be a multimillionaire and decided he didn't want to run the rat race anymore. He walked off grid and built his own cabin in the woods and now lives off grid making money trapping and skinning animals for fur and meat.
