This is the first of a series of videos documenting my build of a 5" gauge locomotive Lion. She is based upon the full size locomotive currently on display at in the Museum of Liverpool. She was originally built in 1838 by Todd Kitson and Laird and was rebuilt with a larger boiler, larger cylinders and longer frame in 1842 through to 1843.

The model is based upon the design by LBSC and serialised in the Model Engineer Magazine 1953 through to 1954.
