Demo of Martin Gardner'sFind the Lady and the Scotch Purse Puzzle Martin Gardner's Cherchez La Femme This neat little pocket puzzle was invented by Martin Gardner and sold by the Montandon Magic Company in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1946. The sailor on the front is in search of something, and by the look of his bizarre hand motions, it is NOT a drink. By unfolding the paper, the spectator is invited to try to find what the sailor is looking for. When solved, the spectator finds a tasteful picture of a topless women. Scotch Purse This old felt puzzle contains a marble or very small coin. The idea is to remove it from the “purse”. Very hard to find and a neat collector's item. (From my confiscated Youtube channel)
