Deputy Orrlando Mayes and Deputy Mike Robertson of the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department attempt to stop a vehicle with a brake light that is out. The driver pulls over and bolts on foot from the car. The deputies chase the man down and capture him in a nearby yard. When asked who the vehicle belongs to, the suspect tells the deputies he just picked it up. When questioned further, the man admits he knew the vehicle was stolen but took it because he needed to get home. The owner is contacted and is told the vehicle is in good working order for the most part. The young man is taken to jail for grand theft auto.
