When sledding with child, you may be throwing off balance. Sledding fails is mostly due to off balance or wrong weight distribution. So in order to avoid injury only sled knowing it is bad balance (child plus adult on one sled) when snow is thick and lush. That way sled will go slow and even in crash, it won't hurt (well except for skin touching the snow can be stingy). This outing was an epic sledding fails and best sledding fails.

We have a big hill near our house. Sledding on snow is a big exercise, because it involves climbing the hill for the next run. It takes good 5~10 minutes hike to get to the top to sled again. Enjoy sledding is the best way to deal with the long winter in Minnesota. And you will realize amazing things happening to our body. Your skin that are exposed to the cold temperature are getting very warm to protect. Now I can understand how some people do polar plunge in the water. Your skin will get very hot to protect your internal organ.
