I review a freestyle swim technique. Items to work on are:
1. Reach forward more and avoid reaching "outward". Allows you to reach further and catch earlier in the stroke. Work on having your hands facing inward at the end of the recovery.
2. Work on stiffening up the kick and not bend knees as much.
3. Start to work on rotation, thus getting more power out of your pull.
4. Work on reaching more during your recovery so your arms are nearly straight when they enter the water. This will allow more distance per stroke. Also make sure your hand is exiting the water near your hips every pull, thus "finishing" your stroke.
