Senator Ted Cruz and 5 Other Senators Reintroduce Amendment for Congressional Term Limits

Senator Ted Cruz joined by Marco Rubio, Pat Toomey, Mike Braun, Rick Scott and Todd Young all have reintroduced a Constitutional Amendment to set strict term limits on members of the United States Congress. It calls for 2 Terms in the Senate and 3 Terms in the House. That's it. No more career politicians, no more swamp, serve your country and go back to private life.

For it to pass and become a part of the Constitution is highly unlikely to happen, but it is a great step forward and a promise that was brought up by Cruz initially in 2019 and also a Campaign promise of President Trump when he took office. Due to the high bar it was not achievable, and likely still the case, but it shows that populist ideology is alive and well... at least on the GOP side of the aisle.
