A linguist telling you how to discern lies and rumors

This documentary is an interview with a linguist, who is sharing his findings of discerning rumors/lies. Linguists have a long way to go in helping the world discerning lies. Though personally I might not be 100% in agreement with all its views as a result of a lack of my own research, but definitely 100% in support of this linguistic approach when dealing with lies and rumors. Yes, we need to discern, and not to repeat whatever we were told, because people who spread rumors might not be able to discern.
