On his first day in office, Biden cancelled the Keystone XL pipeline project connecting the U.S. and Canada. This construction is vital to both countries’ economy. The cancellation could kill up to 60,000 U.S. and Canadian jobs and result in losses of over a billion dollars.

The Laborers’ International Union of North America (LIUNA) cheered when Biden won the election. But the union decried Biden’s cancellation of the Keystone pipeline, saying it would “kill thousands of good-paying union jobs.”

Former President Donald Trump talked to allies about starting a new pro-American political party. It was said that the former president would want to call the new party the “Patriot Party.” The official information on the Federal Election Commission shows that the Patriot Party was registered on Jan. 22, but the registrant is not the former President.
