I'm one of countless people who were, and are, a part of the military in the United States.

As such, I feel I'm relatively well qualified to discuss the idea of what sort of expectations folks should have as a result of joining the various services.

Part of their expectations ought to be potential hardship.

That said, what happened to various U.S. National Guardsmen recently in Washington D.C., is in my opinion inexcusable.

Those folks are already up for hardships and need nobody not involved in their chain of command, adding to that hardship from the outside.

This is what I discus in this edition of The Daily Summation from Kurt's Religion and Politics.

When I complete the companion article on the Kurt's Religion and Politics blog, I'll post a link to it here.
