DRUM AND BASS groove
The jungle DRUM AND BASS groove, back in 2008. I was heavily influenced by a few drummers that I discovered out here on You Tube to name just a few, Jojo Meyer, Billy Ward, Johnny Rabb too many others to mention here.
There were still a ton of gigs around town (NYC) at the time too, so I was doing a lot of live performing and playing out in front of an audience every week, that sure does build up a drummers chops.
If we were to loose the ability to perform in front of an audience then we should never reach our full potential as musicians the trill of performing live is what keeps us moving forward and learning.
I speak for all of the performing art's when I say this that life would be a barren and cold place if art was to be stifled in the name of safety.
