A live version of 'Autumn Leaves,' a song that was originally recorded in 1957 by the brilliant Vince Guaraldi and released on the studio album "A Flower Is A Lovesome Thing" in that same year.

This live version was originally recorded on October 29, 1967 in Old Town, Los Gatos, California, but wasn't released until 2011, on the album "An Afternoon with The Vince Guaraldi Quartet."

The performers are Vince Guaraldi on keyboards, Eddie Duran on guitar, Al Coster on drums and Andy Acosta on Bass.

This is one of my favorite interpretations by Guaraldi, as it's played with incredible feeling and emotion, possessing an ethereal quality that perfectly captures the season the song speaks to. Just a brilliant work, with lovely improvisations that only a live effort such as this can bring from the artists involved...
