Be Not A Friend to Drunkards, Proverbs 23:20-21

28

Be not among drunkards or among gluttonous eaters of meat, for the drunkard and the glutton will come to poverty, and slumber will clothe them with rags.
Proverbs 23:20-21

There are two important lessons to learn from this proverb:
1) Cultivate healthier friendships.
2) Avoid frequently indulging in excesses.

Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm.
Proverbs 13:20

Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Galatians 5:19-21
