Your Cross Necklace Cannot Secure Your Salvation!

Oftentimes while we are out preaching the word of God on the streets, someone will come along and flash us their cross. Nine times out of Ten it is being displayed immodestly in the midst of fleshy cleavage.

Displaying a cross doesn’t make you a Christian nor does it shield the Lord’s eyes from seeing you are drunk, high, living in sexual immorality, etc...

This is not what Jesus meant when he said, “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.”

He wasn’t speaking of flashy jewelry displayed pridefully in vain... after all... read on...

“For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭9:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus was speaking of taking up your cross of suffering, in laying down your life of comfort and peace for a life of rejection and persecution.. and ultimately laying down your life as was his.

If you want others to know you are a Christian, take off the jewelry and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ, do not hold back! Perhaps you will be counted worthy to join in the fellowship of his suffering and you shall be hated by all men for his names sake (Luke 21:17)
