Officer M. Alexander of the Las Vegas Metro Police Department responds to a call of two men fighting in the street, and one of the combatants is brandishing a hammer. When Officer M. Alexander arrives on the scene he encounters a man walking away, while another man cradles his bloodied head. One man explains that as he crossed the crosswalk towards a convenient store, two other men on bikes approached him and verbally attacked him before bumping him with a bike, meanwhile, he picked up a large rock to defend himself. The aggressor was carrying a cane, not a hammer, but he is taken to jail for battery with a deadly weapon.
