Ain Sokhna is a tourist, investment and industrial resort on the coast of the Gulf of Suez in the Red Sea, and it is affiliated to the Suez Governorate in Egypt, and it is 55 km away from the city of Suez, and it is one of the closest Red Sea resorts to Cairo.
It was called Ain Al-Sokhna due to the large number of hot sulfur eyes in it, which are used for healing. And it has non-rocky beaches with white sand, and it is considered a resort throughout the months of the year, summer and winter, and there are several tourist areas and villages that contain hotels and chalets, and the Ain Sokhna Hotel, which was established in the early 1960s, is the oldest ever.
The French Archeology Mission found in Ain Sokhna on February 8, 2006. An archaeological treasure that dates back to the modern and central period in Egypt, dating back more than four thousand years ago, in the region of Mount Galala.
