Why is the Modern Church Repressing Teachings on the Evils of Socialism?

The "complete and updated" catechism seemingly lacks the detailed and strong language regarding socialism of more traditional catechisms. It is hard to believe that this is due to socialism not being a hot topic issue, which leads me to believe that the watering down and glossing over was deliberately done by the enemies of Christianity that have infiltrated my beloved church.
In this video I read from a John Paul II catechism published in the 90s and a Spirago-Clarke catechism published in the 1860s.
