Jackson public schools give a permanent honor to late civil rights activist John R. Lewis

The Jackson public schools board approved the measure in their latest meeting. It comes on the backs of a near $86 million bond that was passed by voters in 2018. The new John R. Lewis school plans to be opened by Fall 2021.
