My dad recorded hours of CNN in 1991 Desert Storm (back then was all we had) and first tape I have is of January 19 and 20 where Wolf Blitzer interviewed General Stormin’ Norman Schwarzkopf the Allied Forces Commander. Wolf Blitzer was also the voice we heard on AFN Radio (Armed Forces Network Radio) announcing “YES, the United States will go to war”, still gives me chills to this day 30 years later. I heard it on our little AM clock radio while living in Bad Cannstatt Germany stationed in Stuttgart with 4th Battalion 159th Aviation Regiment 11th Aviation Brigade, VII Corp, Stuttgart Army Airfield ( SAAF ). Wolf asked General Schwarzkopf “are you and the allies targeting Saddam Hussein”? and here’s his answer
