Traditional, lacquer based kintsugi, making a holder for a glass plate repair part 1
3 years ago
1.74K
This is part 1 of 2 videos. These 2 videos show making a frame so I can repair a thick, beveled piece of plate glass that is the front of a grandfather clock door. The video cut off and I restarted it to show the complete holder. Some of the work takes off-camera since I wasn't able to keep an eye on the screen and drive screws, etc. The final part where I put some wood glue on the 2 small pieces of wood is to hold the wood as a shim for a small piece of the glass. I will put the glass back together with glass lacquer
