Why Did Liz Cheney Betray Trump?, 3459

Good Sunday morning, I’m still reporting on the coup.
Anyone who is surprised at the actions of Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyoming) hasn’t been paying attention. Cheney is one of 10 House Republicans who voted for Trump’s impeachment 2.0.
She is the daughter of former vice president Dick Cheney who was the vice president for President George W. Bush. Before being vice president, Dick Cheney held the seat in the House his daughter now holds.
Bush hates Trump. It’s no secret. According to the Bush family plan, Jeb Bush was supposed to get to be president in 2016. Trump ended any chance Jeb Bush had by referring to him as the “Low Energy Candidate” a nickname that stuck because it was so apropos.
George W. Bush has never forgiven Trump for that and the Cheneys are joined at the hip with the Bushes.
Both families are part of the Swamp. They think it is their right to rule the government and for the government to provide them with good jobs, lots of perks and the chance to live like the royalty they are.
These are the people that Trump has been railing against for four years. People who see Washington and the federal government as their own personal fiefdom, not the peoples’ servant. That’s right, this bears repeating; government should be the servant of the people, not their overlord.
In 2002, the Bush administration created a job for Liz Cheney in the State Department. That’s a pretty sweet deal when you aren’t qualified for any of the thousands of jobs in federal government, so the president or vice president creates a new job to fit your resume.
She also worked for the State Department and the US Agency for International Development in the administration of President George H.W. Bush.
In 2008 she worked for Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign.
She represents Wyoming in Congress, but grew up in the Washington, DC area graduating from McLean High School. She officially moved to Wyoming in 2012 to run for the Senate in 2014, however, when it became evident that Cheney could not defeat an incumbent Republican senator, she dropped out of the race “for health reasons.”
She won the open seat in Congress, her father’s old seat, in 2016.
She is literally a child of Washington entitlement.
The fact that she would jump at the opportunity to stab President Trump in the back should be no surprise. She is the kind of person who Trump has promised to run out of Washington.
Also, she is considered a “hawk” on defense policy which means she supports the endless wars that Trump has been working hard to end.
Maybe she could explain what the US has accomplished in its nearly 20 years in Afghanistan other than spending trillions of dollars, which, of course, is great for the defense industry but at the cost of thousands of American soldiers killed or maimed for life - which is simply considered the price that must be paid to keep the defense contractors fat and happy.
The sad part about Liz Cheney is that the Republicans elected her to a leadership position, a mistake many of them now regret.
I'm still reporting from just outside the Citadel of American freedom. Good day.
