Rise! (Can You Hear Him Calling to You Now?)

One day I asked the Lord if He had a word for me...He said "RISE". It was several months later that He gave me this melody...and I knew I had to write the song.

It's not about me...He wants His whole church to rise up. To be the light in this dark world. To shine the light of Jesus to the world.

Just like the moon doesn't have a light of it's own, it reflects the light of the sun. So we, as the church, reflect the light of God. So first, you have to let the light of Jesus shine on you...then you can shine it to the world. Can you hear Him calling to you now? Are you ready! Rise! (and please share!)

Can you hear Him calling to you now?
Can you hear Him calling to you now?
Wash your robes, be clean, be healed, be free,
Come out of the world, come away with me!

He’s coming for His pure and spotless bride.
He’s coming for His pure and spotless bride.
Lamps full of oil, eyes open wide,
In His love and life be unified!

Chorus
R-i- se. R-i-se. Let the light of Jesus shine on you!
R-i- se. R-i-se. Shine the light of Jesus to the world!

As the darkness falls His bride will rise.
As the darkness falls His bride will rise.
One heart, one soul, one voice, one mind,
Set the captives free it’s harvest time!

Chorus
R-i- se. R-i-se. Let the light of Jesus shine on you!
R-i- se. R-i-se. Shine the light of Jesus to the world!

Bridge
All praise to the Father; all glory to the son.
Armies of heaven are Ready. It’s time for His kingdom to come!
In the twinkling of an eye we’ll be changed…
At the trumpet call we will be raised!

R-i- se. Let the light of Jesus shine on you!
R-i- se. Shine the light of Jesus to the world

R-i- se. R-i-se. Let the light of Jesus shine on you!
R-i- se. R-i-se. Shine the light of Jesus to the world

Shine the light of Jesus to the world!

Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. (Isaiah 60:1)

in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. (1 Corinthians 15:52).
