If you study reading - writing Thai for a while. There will be some exceptions might irritate you. 😖

But every Thai words have its own reasons and they are written or pronounced like that. 🤔 Or even some words are really like your language like...

สีชมพู / sii chom puu / = pink and jumpu = Indonesian language 💖

why is the word mango มะม่วง / ma muang /🍋 sounds like purple สีม่วง / sii muang / 🔮

And also for dark blue color สีน้ำเงิน / sii nam ngern / why do Thais call water 💦 + money?💰
