Almost Lost Images
During the Great Depression in the US, thousands of men were employed by the Civilian Conservation Corps, building roads and buildings and bridges in the National Forest and the National Parks, while sending money home to families who desperately needed it to survive. Here are scenes from one such camp, digitized from the 16mm silent "home movie" film it was shot on.
