Dogs find a turtle

My hounds are out playing and I hear them start baying something. I go look and see that they found a snapping turtle, looking for a spot to lay eggs. The turtle was released into a pond with a nice sandy beach. Unfortunately turtle season hasn't started yet so I couldn't eat her.
