The only thing to really remember is that LBJ like Biden was just a venal murderous corrupt puppet, the equivalent of a third world warlord or african politician. CIA was the prime mover of the JFK murder. But LBJ knew and participated.
His paranoia when he asked Hoover if "they" (ie more than one shooter) were going after him too was not an indication of innocence but LBJ's suspicions that his new sponsors were going to get rid of him as well.
