Leroy Fletcher Prouty (January 24, 1917 - June 5, 2001) was an American colonel in the United States Air Force, author and critic of U.S. foreign policy, especially as regarded the activities of the CIA. Col. Prouty was the Chief of Special Operations, with the Joint
Staff all during 1962-1963. During his career he was a recipient of both the Legion of Merit award and one of the first three Joint Chiefs of Staff Commendation Medals.
In this video, Col. Prouty discusses Presidential Protection and how it was nearly non-existent for the Dallas motorcade.
